To support our Climate and Disaster Risk Finance and Insurance (CDRFI) Competence Centre, we are looking for a motivated working student.

Climate risk is one of the most urgent global challenges of our time. Addressing it also creates important opportunities for innovation, resilience and sustainable development.

At Frankfurt School, we combine expertise in research, education, project implementation and finance to contribute to the global CDRFI agenda.

Through three grant-funded facilities InsuResilience Solutions Fund (ISF), Global Risk Modelling Alliance (GRMA) and Global Shield Solutions Platform (GSSP) we support climate-vulnerable countries, communities, and businesses in:

  • understanding their exposure and vulnerability to climate and disaster risks; and
  • developing pre-arranged financing solutions that help reduce financial losses, enable faster access to funding following disasters and strengthen the capacity to use financial services effectively.

As a working student, you will become part of an international and interdisciplinary team working on practical solutions to climate and disaster risks. You will support colleagues across different projects and gain insight into international development cooperation, climate finance, project implementation and communications.
