We are currently looking for a Project Coordinator (f/m/x) supporting our team initially for a period of 24 months.

Your Tasks

  • Support the Sustainable Finance Team in acquisition of new private and public financial sector development projects, incl. compiling expressions of interests, providing input to developing technical and financial offers, and business development in general
  • Contribute to project implementation of the Sustainable Finance Team, incl. the processing of incoming and outgoing correspondence and project documents, coordination with other partners and stakeholders, providing input to project deliverables, including applied context research (e.g., market assessments, stakeholder consultations, technical input related to sustainable finance solutions, such as development and application of tools and policies, e.g. GHG emission accounting, Environmental and Social Management Systems, Climate- and Nature-related Vulnerability and Risk Assessments, Cost-Benefit Analysis, etc.).
  • Support the controlling of projects, including invoicing, budget control functions, specific reporting, and managing project documentation.
  • Organisation and contribution to the implementation of events, workshops, and training seminars (e.g., support the compilation of presentations and logistics).

Your Profile

  • University degree in economics, finance, business, public administration, urban management or similar.
  • Knowledge of sustainable finance (incl. renewable energy and/or energy efficiency, climate adaptation, nature-based solutions etc.); incl. corporate finance and/or project finance, financial instruments and accounting but also international standards (e.g. related to ESMS, ESG and materiality assessment and general knowledge of current international climate change and nature-related developments, initiatives and standards
  • Experience in public finance and administration, governance structures and regulatory frameworks, mobilizing private finance for green projects
  • Professional experience in implementation of international projects; specific knowledge on EU-funded projects would be desirable.
  • Fluent in English (working language) and at least one other language (French, Portuguese, Spanish), both oral and in writing; German language skills would be an asset.
  • Proficiency in applying MS Office
  • Excellent research and analytical skills (in the context of market assessments and financial analysis), incl. the ability to succinctly and intelligently formulate analyses based on research.
  • Experience in applying quantitative and data-driven approaches, incl. good knowledge of econometric skills. (for instance, knowledge of one programming language, such as Python, STATA) and affinity to qualitative data approaches (for instance, textual analysis software) would be an advantage.
  • Strong capacity for teamwork, but also ability to work independently, including motivation and commitment, flexibility, creativity, and ability to work under time pressure.
  • Strong communication skills within and outside the team with intercultural sensitivity.
