We provide expertise in fund and credit line management, innovative financial mechanisms and incubator platforms, technical assistance in banking and finance, strategy and management consulting, as well as business development services for MSMEs.

Your Tasks

  • Acting as the main subject matter expert for the IAS team on all procurement issues and where needed develop internal policies and procedures related to procurement and bidding.
  • Training and coaching of new IAS team members on the core processes of acquisition.
  • Continuously develop and adjust a centralized procurement system that adds value and efficiency to IAS’ bidding process, including:
    • Setting up the internal processes and deadlines for the submission of bids
    • Ensuring compliance of bids with the specific donor requirements
    • Preparing administrative documents, such as Power of Attorneys or Declarations of Honour
    • Ensuring that financial, legal and HR documents / evidence is up-to-date and available
    • Review of documents that partner submitted
    • Leading the submission of bids, including compiling, printing as well as shipment/online submission

  • Heading the acquisition screening efforts and ensuring timely acquisition screening that also covers the core opportunities is done on a daily basis.

Your Profile

  • At least 5 years of broad procurement / tendering experience at larger firms that are active in development consulting.
  • Demonstrated ability to function in a team environment and highly matrixed environment; ability to handle and prioritize multiple deadlines and work with tight deadlines.
  • Strong communication skills within and outside the team with intercultural sensitivity.
  • University degree, preferably at Master’s level, in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Banking, or related field or equivalent professional experience.
  • Sound knowledge of common IT software (MS Office package).
  • Excellent knowledge of English and good knowledge of another foreign language both oral and in writing.
