At Frankfurt School of Finance & Management, we have intensified our research and engagement in climate and disaster risk finance and insurance. We manage the InsuResilience Solutions Fund (ISF) and the Global Shield Solutions Platform (GSSP).
ISF and GSSP are innovative programmes, funded by European Governments, that are designed to support and develop financial products for climate risks that mitigate the negative effects of climate-related disasters such as droughts, heat waves and floods. Within their mandates, the programmes work closely with partners in developing countries to support detailed climate risk analysis, the development and application of financing solutions, and the dissemination of knowledge to relevant stakeholder groups. The focus of this position will be to support the conceptual design and implementation of country programmes and subsequent monitoring of activities.

This includes the design and management of climate and disaster risk finance programmes, regular progress reporting, stakeholder management, project monitoring, and review of project reports.
- Support partners in developing countries with a focus on the public sector in building their own capacity and expertise in climate and disaster risk finance, considering the local context.
- Contribute to partnerships and publications aimed at disseminating the programme’s overall results in the development cooperation context. Assist in the creation of communication materials to increase visibility and promote policy advocacy.
- Support business development activities and the acquisition of new projects beyond the GSSP programme, contributing to the expansion and diversification of the team’s project portfolio.
