To strengthen our International Advisory Services (IAS) team, we are looking for a Project Coordinator to support our growing portfolio of international development and advisory projects in Ethiopia. As part of our Africa team, you will contribute to the successful implementation and further development of our activities in this strategically important market. The position is initially fixed-term for two years.

Your Tasks

  • Coordinate and support the implementation of Technical Assistance projects, with a particular focus on the Ethiopia portfolio.
  • Support Project Managers in project planning, coordination of timelines, budgets, deliverables, documentation, and reporting.
  • Coordinate and communicate with clients, experts, partners, and other relevant stakeholders.
  • Support the organization and implementation of seminars, workshops, and other project activities.
  • Conduct research and continuously monitor developments in the Ethiopian financial sector, including regulatory changes, reforms, development programs, and market trends.
  • Support the identification of new projects and business opportunities and contribute to the preparation of LOIs, technical proposals, and financial proposals.
  • Maintain and further develop relationships with banks, financial institutions, public institutions, development organizations, partners, and other relevant stakeholders in Ethiopia.
  • Support internal knowledge sharing and coordination related to the Ethiopia portfolio.

Your Profile

  • Master’s degree, preferably in International Business, International Development, Finance, Economics, or a related field
  • Relevant professional experience in the coordination and implementation of international and cross-border projects, preferably in development consulting or Technical Assistance
  • Experience in working with international clients, experts, partners, and other stakeholders
  • Fluency in English; knowledge of Amharic is an advantage
  • Proficiency in MS Office and digital collaboration and project management tools
  • Very good knowledge of the Ethiopian market and institutional environment, preferably with exposure to the financial sector
  • Experience in research, market monitoring, and support of project acquisition and proposal development
  • Strong communication, organizational, and coordination skills
  • Willingness to travel regularly for project assignments, particularly to Ethiopia
